I wasn’t satisfied with the top image here. I started this a few years ago. Have been adding layers of muted ink washes and cobalt blue watercolor, along with some gold paint line work.

The energy of the first image I enjoyed very much, however there was something unnerving about the “form” of the image. I do sense that the layering adds vital depth to the work, even the parts that end up unseen.
